    Updating Extension (Add-on)

The update of an extension (add-on) that you already have on your website happens manually. To complete the process do the following:

    1. Go to WordPress plugin list and locate the extension (add-on) for Easy Social Share Buttons you need to update. Once you found it in the list of plugins (usually they are directly under Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress) hit deactivate and then remove.
    2. Go to Easy Social Share Buttons menu and select Extensions (Add-ons). When the screen is fully loaded navigate to the extension (add-on) you need to update and complete the steps for a free extension (add-on) installation.

    Warning!

The update of plugin extension (add-on) does not require to deactivate, remove or update Easy Social Share Buttons for WordPress unless you get instructions from the support team doing this (with link to plugin update).

If you are not able to download a new version of the extension (add-on), probably the old is still running – you get the installed state.

If you get an error message that plugin can’t be installed because folder already exists you probably deactivate the extensions but did not remove it before installing the new version.
