Working with Subscribe Locker and setup

Article sections

    Overview

The function will create a real locker. If used without the continue option the users won’t be able to see the entire content without subscribing to the list. The tracking of successful subscriptions goes via a technical cookie. If the visitor uses an incognito mode or clears the browser cache (including cookies) when visiting again will show as locked.

    General Settings

    • Post types – choose the post types where the locker will appear. If blank it will show everywhere.
    • Deactivate display on the homepage – enable if you don’t wish to see the locker on the homepage of your website.
    • Unlock time (days) – customize the unlocking time. The default timeout of unlocking is 90 days. Use numeric values representing days (24, 180, 360). When the period expires the locker form will show again for the user.
    • Do not show on – choose post IDs where the locker will not show. Separated by commas – example: 1,200,300.
    • Don’t show on mobile devices – do not show the form if a mobile device is detected. Detection goes via the screen resolution and works with all cache and optimization plugins.
    • Allow continuing without subscribing – enable this option in case you wish to give an option for the users to continue without subscribing to the mailing list. This won’t stop the locker from showing again – just gives the ability to continue without joining your list.
